Job Summary:

The staff nurse works independently to provide direct care to our residents including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Supervises and directs the care provided by the nursing assistants. Participates in continued professional development.

Qualifications (Professional):

Graduate from NLN accredited school

Current license to practice as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse in the State of Ohio.

Ability to manage and supervise nursing staff.

Knowledge of the principles of growth and development for the entire life span with the ability to provide care appropriate for adult and geriatric residents.

Demonstrates evidence of leadership abilities, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications (Physical):

Good physical and mental health.

Possess the necessary dexterity to perform injections, IV's, etc.

Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.

Possess the ability to bend, stoop and reach at different angles.

Walks, stands and sits intermittently during the day.
